Received notification from Oroklini Community Council that water cuts were coming into force from today.

Mains water to be available on the following days:
Monday 7.00am to Tuesday 7.00am
Wednesday 7.00am to Thursday 7.00am
Friday 7.00am to Saturday 7.00am

Total of 72 hours mains water per week

Water on today, pressure very low. Some apartments and houses will have trouble getting their tanks filled.

No water for us today. Rang Oroklini council and apparently our days and times of water have changed to the following.
Tuesday 7.00am to 7.00pm
Thursday 7.00am to 7.00pm
Saturday 12.00pm (noon) to Sunday 7.00am
Now only 43 hours of mains water per week.

Water not on at 7.00am but it did come on around midday. Pressure still very low. At least we have got water, many apartments ran out days ago.

Water came on around midday and quite reasonable pressure. If the rest of the village has the same pressure then maybe the apartments with the tanks on the roofs will get filled.

Bonus - Water was on this morning at 7am, totally unexpected as were not expecting any. The pressure was low but who's complaining.
Properties we manage in Pervolia haven't had any water since Thursday. What they should have had on Saturday was apparently re-routed to Nicosia.

Water on at 7am this morning and reasonable pressure. Was in Ayia Thekla all day and they don't seem to be getting any cuts yet.

No mains water for us today. The other half of Oroklini village who were due for water today, have had no water so far today. (as I write this at 2.30pm). Hearing that they are hoping to get water on at 4pm to 10pm.
Also have heard from the council that our times have changed to as follows:
Tuesday 12noon to 7pm
Thursday 12noon to 7pm
Saturday 12noon to 7pm
Now only 21 hours of mains water per week.

New official announcement received from Oroklini Community Council re Water Cuts:
The village of Oroklini is now being split into four areas.

Areas A & D will have water when available as follows:
Tuesday 7am to 7pm
Thursday 7am to 7pm
Saturday 7am to Midnight

Areas B & C will have water when available as follows:
Monday 7am to 7pm
Wednesday 7am to 7pm
Friday 7am to Midnight

This appears to be an improvement on what was told on Wednesday. However if your property is not classed as being on higher ground, water will not come on until 12noon on the three days. Just hope you are on higher ground as the water may have ran out when it gets to 12noon when the rest of your area is due to get some water.

Working on a complex in Pervolia, neighbour has no water in his tanks, not had any for eight days. Complains at the council office and eventually gets the water switched on at 5pm. Told me it felt like Christmas had come early and he had got his present of TAP WATER!!!

Good Friday - Start of Easter in Cyprus. Almost everything shuts down today until next Wednesday. Apparently there will be no water cuts over the weekend. They should start back up on Monday. But its Cyprus and depending on how long the parties lasted on Sunday will probably dictate whether the water cuts will start again on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Easter Monday - There was lots of parties and organized events Saturday and yesterday. Water stayed on over the weekend and it is still on here today.
